Biography:

Dr Li is working with Mechatronic Engineering as a full-time teaching-research staff. He received his B. E. and M. E. degrees from University of Science and Technology of China in 1992 and 1995 respectively, and Ph. D. degree from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2001. He was with the School of Mechanical and Production Engineering of Nanyang Technological University as a research fellow from 2001 to 2003. He has been with the School of Mechanical, Materials and Mechatronic Engineering as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor/Senior Professor. Dr Li has published more than 300 technical articles in refereed international journals and conferences. He serves as Technical Editor/Associate Editor/Editorial Board Member for more than 10 international journals, including Smart Materials and Structures, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, Scientific Reports, etc. He is a recipient of Fellow of Engineers Australia (2016), Fellow of Institute of Physics (2015), JSPS Invitation Fellowship (2014), Australian Endeavour Fellowship (2011), and numerous Best Paper Awards.
